Epitranscriptomics and RNA Dynamics Lab
Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG)- Barcelona

About us

We are a multidisciplinary and multicultural laboratory, led by Dr. Eva María Novoa.  We study RNA, its modifications, and the importance of epitranscriptomics in biological systems. Our overarching research goals include to understand RNA-mediated inheritance across generations, decipher the role of RNA modifications in health and disease, and design new early diagnostic and prognostic tools for widespread diseases such as cancer.

It was a pleasure hosting Jasper Verwilt @JVerwilt from Sleegers Lab @SleegersLab in our lab for 3 weeks, focusing on establishing a Nano3PCR-seq protocol to capture cell-free RNA biomarkers in human biofluids — Jasper it was great having you with us, hope to see you again!🚀

New preprint released 🪇

Which tRNAs are used by ribosomes during translation?

We introduce tRIBO-seq, a nanopore method to sequence ribosome-associated tRNAs and track how the active tRNA pool changes across stress conditions.
