Alexane has a master degree in cell biology, specialized in oncology and toxicology from the University of Rennes 1 in France. She did her master’s thesis at the University of Rouen, where she studied the toxicity of smoke particles in human lung cells. After that, she worked for 3 years as an engineer in the lab of Géraldine Guasch at the CRCM in Marseille. Her project was focussed on the initiation of anorectal tumors, she was working with many cell biology techniques and especially with organoids, she also started doing mice experiments there. After some amazing holidays in Barcelona she decided to move there and joined the Novoa lab as a technician in March 2022. Her role is to manage the mice colonies of the lab, help lab members with mice experiments and participate in different parts of the intergenerational inheritance ERC project.
In her free time Alexane enjoys going out, reading thrillers, and travelling. She also spends a lot of time thinking about how much she misses French food.
